Lee McCormick

Mr. McCormick founded Community Development Associates, LLC to assist public, private, and nonprofit companies in navigating the requirements for various State and Federal tax-advantaged financing programs. Mr. McCormick has over 20 years of experience in domestic and international finance. He has helped private companies and governmental entities establish and maximize the effectiveness of their tax-exempt financing programs.

Prior to founding CDA, Mr. McCormick worked for a number of national corporations and most recently as Assistant Treasurer for Waste Management, Inc. ("WMI"). While at WMI, he was responsible for managing domestic and international treasury operations including tax-exempt bond financing, interest rate and currency swap transactions, banking relations, cash management, investments, and other capital market functions.

Mr. McCormick received his BA in Finance, with honors, from Sam Houston State University and his MBA, with honors, from the University of Houston. He currently serves as a school board member for Prince of Peace Christian School in Carrollton, TX.  In addition, Mr. McCormick is a member of the Texas Economic Development Council, Texas Municipal League, the National Association of Bond Lawyers ("NABL"), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA"), North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.

Jean M. Gard - Director

Jean Gard Ms. Gard has over nine years experience in the State and Federal tax-advantage financing programs. Prior to joining Community Development Associates in 2005, Ms. Gard was employed for five years at a multi-national Fortune 200 company as a Treasury Analyst where she oversaw the daily operations of a $2.3 billion tax-exempt revenue bond portfolio.

Prior to that, Ms. Gard spent several years in the healthcare industry assisting four research doctors and a medical department at a major medical facility in Houston, Texas. In addition, she has served as an Executive Assistant / Office Manager for several major corporations in Houston, Texas. Ms. Gard graduated from the Sawyer School of Business in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after serving her country in the United States Navy.
